Cinque Torri, Dolomiti by FrozenWhisperx Cinque Torri, Dolomiti by FrozenWhisperx
This is for sure one one the most beautiful sunrises my eyes have ever witnessed, the colors were amazing, I even had to reduce the saturation!

Panorama of 4 horizontal shots, NO DOUBLE EXPOSURES OR HDR.

Canon 5d
17-40
gnd 0.6 soft

the snow helped balancing the wide danamic range, otherwise I would have had to use a stronger GND.

I love this photo! this is the exact place my husband proposed to me. Is there any chance I could get it printed out and framed? Would you mind?

Those clouds rock man. They look like an explosion! And you really did it right with the lengthened exposure to get the clouds smearing out with movement. And the faint colors on the snow really look great too. Nicely done sir.

This is a darn impressive picture. Is this a crop or a panorama shot? If it is a pano it's even more impressive. ;)

Heaven's on fire just got a new meaning. Really a great shot here mate. THe composition tho is a little off here due to the foreground stones there taking up way too much attention from the rest of the shot. A couple trees in the foreground here would've done this shot much better in terms of perspective and foreground.

Good job and nice capture!

thank you for the useful comment.
From my point of view the rocks are not a distracring element, but I agree to the fact that it would have been a better shot with a stronger foreground (like a tree), but shooting in high elevations in the mountain in winter is very difficult because the snow (1.5 meters high) covers everything (reducing the number of elements that can be included in the composition) and makes it difficult to reach interesting points...you are constricted in the main beaten trails and cannot move that much!

Thank you again

Niccolò
